Truthfulness and Liability
Why honesty on the questionnaire does not affect the program’s purpose — and what it means for
client responsibility.
Clinical Science and Clinical Experience
| Chronic disease is widely recognized as a major driver of lost
productivity, presenteeism, sick leave, and disability-related costs for employers and public
institutions. |
Addressing the issue of truthfulness of clients when they’re taking the anonymous measurement questionnaire
online.
About Me
Dr. Victor Jean Ouellette, DC, MS
Over a 52-year career as a chiropractor and wellness consultant in Ontario (1973–2025), I developed this
questionnaire and program from extensive clinical experience. My post-graduate training includes a Master of
Science in Biology-Nutrition (1987), and a three-year Sports Injury program at the Royal College of
Chiropractic Sports Sciences (1989). During this training, I arranged to spend more than 30 hours as an
observer in the Emergency Department of Hamilton General Hospital — unheard of in those days. See the
" about the doctor" page for a full professional and personal profile.

What WRM Is WRM is a self?help program designed to help clients measure key wellness
indicators and develop Action Plans based on those measurements. Its purpose is to support personal
awareness and healthy decision?making, not to provide medical or chiropractic treatment.
How It Works
Clients complete questionnaires as a tool to monitor key health and wellness indicators. Based on those
measurements, clients develop (or are guided to develop) a personal Action Plan. However, clients
remain entirely responsible for their own choices, actions, and decisions.
Resources Available to Clients
The program offers a range of support resources, including WRM tutoring instructors for guidance, an online
library of materials, a ~35?page Report of Findings, and two books by Dr. Ouellette, DC, MS. These resources
are intended to help clients make informed decisions and support their wellness journey.
Anonymity
One reason why the questionnaire is anonymous is to encourage truthfulness. Clients control their own
Action Plan while managing their own busy lifestyle.
We caution people to be truthful on Pages 5 to 11 because clinicians may be interested in that particular set
of data. Clinicians generally do not want to spend extensive time convincing patients to follow the science, as
that is laborious and time-consuming. They generally prefer not to engage in that process. They do, however,
want to know about important clinical measurement indicators. Those indicators are there for the clinicians in
the Progress Chart Clinical Module, if they want to look at them and their patient has given
them a redacted copy of their chart.
It is Wellness RISK Management that
undertakes the labourious, time-consuming work of helping clients troubleshoot their Action Plan
List. The client pays for that time themselves.
- Recall that at Wellness RISK Management, we are
delivering no diagnosis, no therapy, no treatment
plan of any kind.
There are no professional protocols for clients to interfere with or disrupt. At Wellness RISK Management, our primary focus is, “Are they completing their Action Plan
List.”
WRM Instructors have the full Action Plan List
for each client, which includes all 126 actions to be completed We deliver eight actionable items for every
measurement made. The instructor can access additional Action Plan items pertinent to that client when
necessary, because the WRM instructor has their own ~35-page Instructor’s Notes on
this client for the relevant measurement time frame.
Measurement items were compiled over decades of clinical practice, guided by
nutritional/wellness science published over the years, and observations from patient outcomes under standard
chiropractic and wellness care.
Liability
Because this program provides only general, self?help guidance — and does not offer diagnoses or treatments —
our risk, the client's risk, and any referring agency's risk is limited. However, as with any wellness-related
information, outcomes depend on many factors, including accurate self?reporting and responsible use.
